Sacred Sunday – Living Art, Raw Material and Self-as-Sacred-Place – with Claire Elizabeth Barratt – Virtual

April 6, 2025 @ 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

The Sacred Dance Guild continues to offer Sacred Sunday experiences monthly – generally on the 2nd Sunday of the month and generally at 7:30 pm Eastern time (but always flexible!!) A program that began during the pandemic continues because we CAN, not because we MUST! These sessions are intimate, interactive and informative free to the participants, gifted to the Sacred Dance Guild “village” by the presenter and coordinated by the SDG as a way to CONNECT us one to another around the globe!  NOTE: As or “flexible” selves – this month is the FIRST sunday and OUR time is 2:30 pm Eastern (which is 7:30 pm in England where our facilitator is!) DO check time in your local time zone!!

To register send email to pres@sacreddanceguild.org with “Sacred Sunday – Claire Elizabeth Barratt ” in the subject line. The Zoom link will be sent to you the day before the session.

In this session we examine the Self as “Living Art”, the raw materials of the self in relationship with the raw materials of time, space, energy and the elements. We explore the Self as Sacred Place – the location of our dwelling and experience and interactions – physical and spiritual.

*Self – made in the image of the Divine, we are also creators.
*Self – body and psyche – as Raw Materials with which to create.
*Self – as aesthetic being – our presence and countenance.
*Self – as Sacred Place we inhabit, where transformation occurs … transcendence of Self.

Over the hour, Claire will guide a series of movement meditations.
Participants are free to respond at their own individual pace.

Meditation Themes:
BODY = ELEMENT = EFFECT
Breath = Air = Openness Expansion Awareness
Weight = Earth = Stability Support Security
Vibration = Fire = Inspiration Stimulation Motivation
Joints = Water = Fluidity Peace Healing
