Living Art, Raw Material and Self-as-Sacred-Place with Claire Elizabeth Barratt (in person)

An interactive, collaborative, physical, in person workshop session at Holy Trinity – Prince Consort Road, London (Free) – see details at Colab Session 1 – Religion & Art. In this session facilitatated by Claire Elizabeth Barratt we examine Self as “Living Art”, the raw materials of the self in relationship with the raw materials of time, space, energy and the elements. We explore the Self as Sacred Place – the location of our dwelling and experience and interactions – physical and spiritual.
Self – made in the image of the Divine, we are also creators.
Self – body and psyche – as Raw Materials with which to create.
Self – as aesthetic being – our presence and countenance.
Self – as Sacred Place we inhabit, where transformation occurs … transcendence of Self.
Total duration of the workshop is two hours. The first hour will be a series of guided movement meditations with Claire Elizabeth Barratt. Participants are free to respond at their own individual pace.

This will be followed by preparation for Linda Mary Montano’s guided chakra meditation. Linda and Claire will lead an interactive performative meditation based on the chakras. Remaining time is open to further meditations, collaborations and discussions.
What To Bring
Please arrive up to 15 minutes early so the session can begin on time. Wear comfortable clothing. Additional warm layers are advised.
Small blanket, yoga mat, cushion for extra comfort if needed. Water or anything else you might need for personal sustenance
Scarf, or any number of scarves, in any of the chakra colours – which are the same as the rainbow colours – Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet
