Awakening – Performance – Trinity Movement Choir (in person)

With New York Taiko Aiko Kai and Carlos Ramirez. Sacred dance set to Japanese drumming.

The Trinity Movement Choir, under the direction of Marilyn Green and Toni Foy, practices worship through sacred dance, a slow, dreamlike style of choreography that responds to spiritual and social issues. Experience Awakening, a four-part piece that progresses from themes of self-absorption through widening circles of care to an embrace of all life. The Movement Choir will be joined by the drummers of New York Taiko Aiko Kai, created in 2002 by families hoping to pass Japanese culture to their children, Carlos Ramirez of The Actors’ Temple on shofar, an ancient ram’s-horn trumpet, and the international Sacred Dance Guild.  

Registration for this free event is highly recommended as seating is limited.    

We suggest arriving 45 minutes before start time. Admission is first-come, first-served, with ticket holders receiving priority (although not guaranteed entrance if the venue reaches capacity).
