Sacred Sunday - "Dancing in the Sacred Valley" - A Sacred Dance Journey to Peru - with Vannia Ibarguen & Marylee Hardenbergh
Date: September 17, 2023-
Location: On Line - 7:30 pm EST (DO check local times!)

The Sacred Dance Guild continues to host “Sacred Sundays”, online gatherings to be Socially Present” while Physically Distant” because we can – no longer because we must!  These live from our living room sessions, started at the beginning of the pandemic, are free, informal, intimate, and interactive and are open to ALL!    We host these events monthly – generally the 2nd Sunday of the month and generally at 7:30 pm EDT (but don’t hold us to that – holidays and other unexpected events can have us change the Sunday and/or the time!!)   THIS month Sacred Sunday will be on the 3rd Sunday – September 17th!  (Note:  The previous Sunday – September 10th – our SDG Program dancers are in New York City dancing “Reconciliation” with the Trinity Movement Choir.)

This Sacred Sunday we will explore the next possible SDG “Sacred Dance Journey”.  The Sacred Dance Guild has offered FIVE Sacred Dance Journeys – one to Sedona and four to Bali!  This program, where a small number (12-20), gather somewhere on the planet to explore our sacred dance in different sacred environments and cultures, happens when the energy bubbles forth!  We are now gazing into the future and see a possibility to take the program to PERU in the summer of 2024!   We have sent out an invitation to express your interest in this adventure and have had a number of responses.  We would like to make the decision by the end of September.  Because there are significant deposits required it is important that the Sacred Dance Guild first determine if we have enough interest in our “village” to make this journey a reality!  SO – we are hosting a Sacred Sunday “preview” of Dancing into the Sacred Valley in Peru!

ALL are welcome to JOIN us for this on line adventure – whether you are thinking about coming in person, just curious or just want to dance together!  We will explore our physical bodies with Marylee Hardenbergh in preparation to dance some traditional Peruvian movements with Vannia Ibarguen!  We’ll also look at the Sacred Valley in Peru, peek into Munay Sonqo Retreat Centre and have time for an open session to chat!  Don’t forget – bring lots of water to the session – we’ll be dancing at a high altitude!!   We also understand dark chocolate can be beneficial!  DO bring some of that along as well!!

The event is free, joyful and free to all who venture through the zoom window!  To register for this event, please send an email to pres@sacreddanceguild.org with “Sacred Sunday – Peru” in the subject line.

The Sacred Dance Guild is blessed to have  Vannia & Marylee gifting their presence with us leading this Sacred Sunday session.   We are grateful for those who lead us on these journeys of discovery as we dance on waves of grace together.
