The Sacred Dance Guild continues to offer our Sacred Sunday program. Most Sundays we host an on line gathering to be “Socially Present” while “Physically Distant“! These live from our living room sessions are free, informal, intimate and interactive sharings and are open to participants who want to connect in this way.
For the month of February our theme is “Attunement”. For our first of the month “FilmFest”, Noelle Partusch will be take us on a tour of ….. ENGLAND!
To register send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Sacred Sunday – England” in the subject.
Five years ago, in March 2017, the Sacred Dance Guild had a delegation of 21 dancers travel to England on an awesome journey from beginning to end! This
journey was a dream of ATTUNEMENT of SDG member Elaine Sisler! Elaine collaborated with Noelle Partusch – Artistic Director for the Mercyhurst University Liturgical Dance Ensemble – with the result that 14 young dancers from Mercyhurst joined six (not so young!!) dancers from the SDG for an extraordinary adventure!!
JOIN us for this Sacred Sunday, hear the stories and see the amazing video of the concert that was offered at Westacre Theatre on March 7th and then dance with us in celebration of dreams that come true!!
Noelle Partusch holds an M.F.A. from The Ohio State University and a Labanotation Teacher’s Certificate from the Dance Notation Bureau in New York City. She served as the associate artistic director of Alaska Dance Theatre for 11 years and danced professionally with Atlanta Ballet II, Buffalo Ballet Theatre, Buffalo Inner-City Ballet, Empire State Ballet, Alaska Dance Theatre, and the Anchorage Opera. She specializes in Labanotation and liturgical dance and is the Artistic Director for the Mercyhurst University Liturgical Dance Ensemble. With this ensemble Ms. Partusch has traveled to New York City, Atlanta, Sydney, Australia, and Jerusalem, Israel to present her choreography.
The Sacred Dance Guild is blessed to have Noelle gifting her presence with us leading this Sacred Sunday session. During this time when our lives have changed in ways we couldn’t have imagined, continuing our personal, collective and global mind/body/spirit connection is so important. We are grateful for those who lead us on these journeys of discovery as we dance on waves of grace together. We will be using ZOOM for Sunday’s sessions.
