Date: October 3, 2021-
Location: Live from New Hampshire - 7:30 pm EDT

The Sacred Dance Guild continues to offer our Sacred Sunday program.  On most Sundays (other than holiday weekends and sometime during the summer) we host an on line gathering to be  “Socially Present” while “Physically Distant“!   These session are live from our living rooms!  They are free, informal, intimate and interactive sharings that are open to all who want to individually, collectively and globally connect in community!     Each session the Sacred Dance Guild is blessed to have someone from somewhere on the planet facilitating and sharing their movement/dance experience with us!

To register for this Sunday email pres@sacreddanceguild.org with SACRED SUNDAY with Dianne Eno in the Subject line

So – as we dance into October 2021 we begin with a time with Dianne Eno, an international artist, environmental educator, performer, scholar and artistic director of Dianne Eno/Environmental DanceWorks, known for annual performances on the summit of  Mt. Monadnock, the world’s second-most climbed mountain.  Designing and implementing numerous programs for children /adults, her accomplishments include  integrating dance, Native American Sign Language and natural environments; artist-in-residence at Acadia National Park; founder/director of the Satori Center for Nature and Forest Therapy; certified forest-bathing guide and Usui Reiki Master; a PhD in Environmental/Dance studies.   Adding to her list of accomplishments this year is “A Company of Witches!”    The “Witches Dance” (as it has become well-known and has “gone viral” throughout Europe and the United States and is danced to the catchy German reggae pop music “Shuttel deinen Speck” or “Shake Your Bacon” by Peter Fox)  was created and originally performed by a German group of dancers who call themselves Wolfshager Hexenbrut.    In addition to many other activities, the Satori Center is also home base for its own Community Eco-Arts Outreach, which provides unique performing arts opportunities like “ A Company of Witches”, for diverse groups of participants and interested members of our local, nearby communities. The collective mission of Outreach programming is to promote the arts, namely dance; to provide unique culturally-enriching events and projects, aimed especially at small, local underserved NH communities; and to instill a sense of common achievement through the arts by bringing together groups of people in fun, inspiring, and creative adventures and experiences, always in a supportive, encouraging and inclusive atmosphere.

SO – for this Sacred Sunday session we’ll begin by experiencing “The Company of Witches”!    Feel free to wear your best hat or outfit, bring your broom if you feel so inclined and join the fun!  Sometimes the most sacred things we can do is laugh and feel joy coursing through our minds, bodies and spirits!  Over history the witches have perhaps gotten a bad rap!  Let’s embrace the spirit of the season and join in with your best cackle!

After we have gone every “witch” way, we will breath and pause!  Dianne will lead us through a moving meditation WITH live music by the world renowned Debbie Danbrook on the Shakuhachi Flute.  We’ll have time for a dancing dialogue on whatever is on our minds and in our hearts!

Dianne is one of those special people on the planet who dances deeply and lives intentionally in ALL parts of life!   This Sunday we are grateful for have Dianne sharing her heart with all of us as we dance on waves of grace together.  We will be using ZOOM for Sunday’s sessions.
