The Isadora Duncan International Institute, Inc. and Harkness Dance Center present Rainbowdance, a structured sequence of sound and gesture-integrated movement-activities for preschool children, that encourages secure attachment to the caregiver and to the peer group, while providing a soothing and energizing first experience with peers.Through the language of the body children learn to discriminate safe and positive facial cues and physical territory while exploring music, soft props and story. This two-day training, conducted by founder, Dicki Johnson Macy, M.Ed., BC-DMT, LMHC, IDMA, credentials participants (dancers, teachers, parents, clinicians) in the Rainbowdance protocol that is accessible to all children regardless of physical or emotional affliction, cultural background, traumatic exposure, or other disability that might otherwise exclude him from group participation.
