At this Sunday’s session we are thrilled to present “VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM – An Exploration of Dance into Divinity that binds the world into one family”. The Concept & Choreography are by Charanya Gurusathya who is the Artistic Director, Natyashala School of Bharatanatyam. They are a member of International Dance Council (CID) UNESCO, ABHAI, SPIC MACAY and Coordinator of Indian Classical Dancers Association-Global
The Natyashala School of Bharatanatyam, India is presenting a Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance) production, inspired by major spiritualities Hinduism, Sufism, Taoism, Christianity and Buddhism with a common goal to attain the Supreme Consciousness. Five of the students were tasked to explore each of the faith expressions and present that through their dance form of Bharatanatyam. Following the dance presentation each student will give a brief talk on what they experienced and learned during the process. Along with watching this interesting concept, you will have the occasion to interact, enact a few movements and exchange thoughts and ideas with the Director and the Student- Dancers who are of Hindu , Christian and Muslim culture.

The Sacred Dance Guild is blessed to have Charanya and her students gifting their presence with us leading this Sacred Sunday session. During this time when our lives have changed in ways we couldn’t have imagined, continuing our personal, collective and global mind/body/spirit connection is so important. We are grateful for those who lead us on these journeys of discovery as we dance on waves of grace together. We will be using ZOOM for Sunday’s sessions.
