Date: July 19, 2020-
Location: On Line - From New York City (7:30 pm EDT)

The SDG has joined the many others who are offering on line gatherings where we can be “Socially Present” while “Physically Distant“!   These sessions are live from our living rooms, they are informal, intimate and interactive sharings and open to a maximum of 20 participants who want to connect in this way.   Register by emailing pres@sacreddanceguild.org.Apollonia.

This week Apollonia will take us on a personal journey of discovery in a collective time together.  She invites us to experience through guided and free movement our own body and mind. We will bring awareness to the relationship of our self, the past, and the future. And by exploring different levels of consciousness we will dive into the space of the present moment.  Everyone is welcomed, and no experience is needed, only an open heart to allow the soul to expand the wings. Please prepare a chair or stool for yourself.

Apollonia Holzer is a choreographer, dancer, life coach, bodyworker, Shiatsu, and Cranio practitioner, Pilates & Gyrotonic teacher based in NYC. Originally from Austria, she spent fourteen years as a nun at the Order of Don Bosco Salesian Sister.   Apollonia received her dance training in Rosalia Chladeck and is certified in the Lynn Simonson Technique. She also explored training in Graham and Horton and diverse contemporary modern classes and liturgical dance in Austria and the USA.  She has danced in Austria with Angelika Slezak and in New York with Maura Lee Burns, Martha Chapman, Carla DeSola, Laurie DeVito, Max Stone, and Jacqulyn Buglisi.  For years Apollonia has presented as well her own work in Austria, where she performed in multiple churches and stages and was in charge of the choreography of over 100 dancers, singers, and actors of the musical ‘THE PASSION from Adrian Snell.   In the last 6 years, she showed her own work at whole evening dance performances in Judson Church, West Park Presbyterian Church, Peridance Capezio Center, University Settlement.   The overarching theme of the performances brings together matters of life, self, and community. For Apollonia, dance is falling into a space of beauty and touching people’s lives.

The Sacred Dance Guild is blessed to have Apollinia gifting her presence with us leading this Sacred Sunday Moving Meditation.  During this time when our lives have changed almost instantly, continuing our personal, collective and global mind/body/spirit connection is so important.  We are grateful for those who lead us on these journeys of discovery as we dance on waves of grace together.  We will be using ZOOM for Sunday’s sessions.  It is a simple and accessible program with no cost to participants. It can be used on a desktop, laptop, tablet or even cell phone. If you have not used ZOOM before join in a few minutes before 7:30 pm for a quick download prior to accessing the session. Using ZOOM you can hear/see the facilitators and choose whether others can SEE and HEAR you by turning OFF and ON your audio and video.

If you are one of the first 20 you will be advised and a link will be sent to you by email prior to the Session Start time.  If we receive more than 20 registrants we will let you know and schedule you for a future Sunday session.

If you have questions do be in touch with me.

Continuing to dance on waves of grace….
