Location: Online - From Cairo
A short on line course taught by Leslie Zehr, Esoteric Dance teacher from Egypt and author of The Alchemy of Dance: Sacred Dance as a Path to the Universal Dancer, designed to introduce the student to the elements of sacred dance and how it can be used as a spiritual practice.
Students will learn the concept of sacred or healing dancing, how it evolved and why it is important in our lives. We will discuss how it can reconnect us to the Divine Feminine, be used as a spiritual practice and why it is so important to reconnect with the earth’s rhythm.
The workshop is mainly a lecture with some movement exercises. You need not be a dancer or have any dance experience. The exercises are simple and fun. By the end of the course you will know how to develop a simple practice of sacred dance for yourself.
