Group Dance Improvisation Workshp

Sponsored by the International Association for Creative Dance, this weekend workshop is an introduction to the principles and materials developed by Barbara Mettler with and emphasis on group dance improvisation. Group Dance Improvisation is a joyful, fresh way of perceiving self and others. The workshop is for young adults through seniors with any level of movement experience, including none. It is taught by Mary Andersen who has 30 years experience leading Mettler-based groups. Mettler-based dance has been applied to a wide variety of settings including spiritual practices, liturgical dance, educational, community and therapeutic settings. The workshop may be taken alone or in conjunction with IACD’s Creative Dance Congress, which immediately follows.
Fees: $125, workshop only/ $75, with Dance Congress.
