The Labyrinth Society Annual Gathering
Date: October 27, 2017- October 29, 2017
Location: IslandWood, Bainbrdige Island, WA
“Honoring the Labyrinth Environment: Co-Creating with Nature” is the theme for this international public conference spanning 3 days plus special workshops and tours as add-ons. Labyrinth experts and enthusiasts gather to learn, share, and celebrate labyrinths of all kinds. Held in Washington state, this year features speaker/artists Jeffrey Bale, mosaic artist/landscape designer, creator of Bainbridge Island Labyrinth and Denny Dyke of Circles in the Sand, beach labyrinth designer extraordinaire.
BARRIE GIBBY, past president of SDG, will teach “RiverPaths” on Sunday morning, a 90-minute workshop interweaving river stages as symbolic partners for stages of our life. As the RIVER is a template for our soul and source of constant flow and cyclical life force, we honor its place on the labyrinth path. Become radical advocates as water protectors and take away rituals, movement, and chants to celebrate the RIVER.
